Summer has arrived

This past weekend was a scorcher. 80/90 degrees and humid as can be. We decided to break out the sprinkler and try to cool off. In the process I realized many things:
1) We need a fun sprinkler
2) a fun pool would be even better, but a hot tub turned down is a great substitute
3) I can't get a tan if my life depended on it
4) Two parents can have oodles of fun jumping through a sprinkler. Its even more fun to each take a turn leaping through the water while the other tries to capture the perfect action shot.
5) You won't see the pictures because I was told posting them was forbidden

Popcorn Party

One of our favorite things to do lately is have a popcorn party. Kate just can't get enough of those golden kernels and she pretty much shovels it in fist over fist.

Mother's Day

Well I had a lovely Mother's Day. It started off by some snuggling in bed with Kate and then we headed to church. After church we headed to brunch with Jay's family. We also got a hotel room for a few hours to go swimming. We had a great time. Then Kate and I took a 3 hour nap which was HEAVEN. We finished up the evening by celebrating with my mom at her house. I also dominated in dominos while we were there....pretty sure I dominated every game.
It was a great day celebrating great women:)

I was a little camera happy at the pool so enjoy my madness. I was the only one not swimming (my swimsuit seems to grow 2 sizes once it hits water....although after eating a buffet immediately before it probably would have fit) so I manned 3 cameras and captured the day.

Bathtime Fun
